Alles Englisch oder was?

Tree.

Oskar and Dan travel around the world, they want to have seen 100 countries by 2022

All English or what? That’s right. In this episode we talk to two Swedes and travel bloggers Oskar and Dan. They have decided to put their studies on hold and travel the world and live a slightly different life.

On their YouTube channel Oskar&Dan they regularly publish videos of their travels and show their viewers beautiful corners of the world. They share stories about the country and its people, show pictures of their trips to cities and the countryside. Among them are also places that perhaps not everyone has directly in mind – Uzbekistan, for example.

In our minds, there are only cliché images about certain countries, which are often shaped by the media. These are mostly prejudices that are unfounded. The two travel fans also confirm this in our conversation, because they have had exclusively positive experiences in their encounters with the people during their travels. They were always warmly and openly welcomed and it it doesn’t hurt to look beyond one’s own nose. A great advantage is the contact with locals, who show their country quite differently than any travel guide.

YouTube is their main platform

We discovered the two of them through their YouTube channel and first watched their videos from Switzerland. There they traveled through the country on the famous Glacier Express and captured beautiful images of our neighboring country during their train journey. We were immediately fans of the boys and wanted to know more about them. An inteview request resulted in our first all-English interview. We are slightly proud that we can once again show that language connects. It was a bit of a challenge, but Oskar and Dan made it very comfortable for us and were great guests and easy to talk to.

We wanted to know why they gave up their supposedly „normal“ lives to devote themselves completely to their travels. Reaching out and communicating with each other can broaden horizons and open whole new doors. Be it here in Germany, in Sweden or in other places around the world. Oskar and Dan show this and much more in their videos.

How they spend their travels, whether they are still aware of their surroundings while filming and what challenges the pandemic has brought for traveling, you can hear in the interview.

If you want to learn more, follow them on their social channels

If you want to know more about Oskar and Dan, just follow them on YouTube, Instagram or TikTok. There you can also ask them questions or leave comments. All options are also summarized once again via Link.Tree.

If you liked this interview as much as we did, we would be happy if you subscribed to Spotify or your podcatcher. This is of course free and makes us more visible. You can also follow us on Instagram if you don’t want to miss any news.
